Florida-Native Reptiles, Amphibians & Arthropods

Greetings. Exotic Oddities offers a wide variety of Florida wild-caught insects, spiders, reptiles, and amphibians to interested parties. Your interests may be to obtain compelling macro-photography subjects, or to have interesting exhibits with which to educate children, or perhaps you'd like to establish a breeding colony of a particular kind of animal for yourself. Whatever your interests may be, I am licensed to provide you with hundreds of different options.
I live on 49 acres of prime Florida wilderness, and as such, I have a veritable treasure trove of native Florida critters to offer, not to mention the fact that I also travel all over Florida to obtain photographs & specimens as well. The area I live in happens to have some wonderful color phases of many native Florida species, so if it is a Florida-native species you seek then I can probably obtain a wild-caught specimen for you of a quality level you probably won't see elsewhere. (Yes, all of the photos you see were taken by me, and most of them are of animals actually found on my property or obtained by road-cruising in local counties.)
This website gets updated frequently, as the animals I have get sold and as I continue to find new specimens. All of the specimens I have listed on my website are animals that are endemic to my area, and this includes the mantids listed as well as all of the true spiders. Florida law states I may 'export' mantids, but I may not import any, so please do not ask to 'trade' mantid species as I cannot legally do this. There is also a strict code on wolf spiders as well, so the wolf spiders I offer are also all Florida-native species too. When looking at the species pages, if you see an active ("green") link this means I have the animal now, so click on it and you will be able to view the specimen. If the animal species is "listed" on my page, but there is no active "green" link to it, this simply means I do not have a representative of this species at the present time.
For animals that I have in stock now, I have a $50 Minimum Order (not including shipping), just to make your own shipping costs worthwhile, as well as to make any transaction worth my own time and effort.
However, if I do not have a representative of what you are looking in stock, but if you really have your heart set on that particular specimen, let me know and I will make it a point to obtain one for you (at a previously-agreed-upon price). Naturally, for me to go out into the field and look for animal(s) for you specifically, the order must be a $200 minimum order to make it worth my time (unless the species is common in my backyard). In other words, I cannot reasonably be expected to drive across 4 counties and spend all day looking for a $10 spider for you :)
However, if you make a minimum of a $200 order, I will be glad to do go out into the field and collect a group of specimens for you, but I must have a 50% downpayment secured before I do so. This deposit is NOT refundable (provided I CAN get you the animal you are looking for). I guarantee any specimen I locate and offer you will be healthy, feeding, and parasite-free before I even ask for the balance and send you the animal. Once I obtain an individual specimen of what you are looking for, I will email you some clear photographs to you, so you can approve its looks. Once the animal meets with your approval, I will confirm the good health of the specimen, make sure it is feeding, and then send you the animal once the balance is paid. On any $200, multiple-specimen order, if for some reason I cannot obtain all the specimens for you, then whatever specimens I have collected will be sent to you to fulfill that part of the order, and naturally you will receive a refund for the balance owed on any specimens that I was not able to collect. To make this type of agreement tenable, you must allow me 30 days to locate all the animal(s) to complete the deal.
Naturally, to fill a $200 order, you are welcome to select from many of the multiple species I have potentially available to fulfill this minimum "Special Order" requirement.
In closing for now, I appreciate your interest, your business, and I welcome any questions you may have.
Cheers!
